Wine Tours & Wineries

The Texas Hill Country has been producing wines since the ’70s. Today, the numerous 20 wineries in the region are open daily year-round to offer visitors tours and tastings that have begun to get attention from wine spectators around the world. Coming from TX Hill Country's arid limestone earth (the same type of soil in northwest Italy, southern Spain, or Provence), the Hill Country vintages offer profiles similar to old world wines from Europe. Pecan River Ranch is a great place for exploring Texas wines.

In the fall, wine fans can have a blast at the Gruene Music & Wine Fest (earl Oct), the Fredericksburg Food & Wine Fest (late Oct), or the San Antonio New World Wine & Food Festival (early Nov).
